Having just flicked through Digital Camera Magazine (Dec 07) it has a section regarding calibrating your monitor. I have a fairly new HPw2007v and thought I would give it go using Adobe Gamma??

Having followed the instructions, it does seem to have made a difference to the monitor it seems a lot clearer and sharper. I am hoping I have done everything correctly and my pictures seem to be the same (clearer and sharper).

There are some bits I ignored (phorus as monitor is lcd) and a couple of other bits.

I know it seems a pointless post, just really thinking is there anything else I should have done?

Thanks

Can you paste the instructions here? I've got a pair of 2207's. So much easier to work on two monitors.

if your monitor(s) are healthy then quickgamma http://quickgamma.de/indexen.html is an excellent program. I've found though, monitors that are a bit old only respond well to hardware calibration.

Dual monitor calibration setup is easy with XP (not sure about vista). Create profiles for each monitor using whichever method, then follow steps here:
