Hi,

Only joined today as I've just bought a K10D to take my photography to the next level.

Thought I would just post a few pics from my Point and Shoot days (either a Pentax Optio S4 or a Canon Ixus 800is)

These 3 were taken whilst out for a walk around Brandon, Suffolk:

These 3 whilst walking around Thornham, Norfolk:

All comments and criticisms welcome.

Hopefully I can continue to improve by using my new equipment and making use of the advice and knowledge gleaned from this and other photography forums.

Thanks Dellipher.
I have a couple of friends who are very into their photography (both graphic artists) and they are distinctly unimpressed with my decision to get the Pentax.
I'll just have to put up with their scorn and carry on regardless....

By the way you chose my favourite two pics out of the bunch I posted :)

Nope! Can see them here, and I'm in France!

Good captures on numbers one on both sets. Enjoy your new camera!

and no 1 on the second one.
That one especially for me. It might also suit the mono treatment

Thanks for all the comments. :)

Can't wait to get to grips with the new camera.

Dod - I actually have done a Mono/Slightly Photoshopped version of that pic which hangs on my wall (albeit in a small 4x6 frame)

Looks like you have an eye for a shot and the compositions are not bad.

like the rusting shed things. Think I'd have preferred focus on them instead of the grass.

Enjoy the extra control the new kit will give you :)
