Got 'em
Welcome to the forum NYA, good intro to the forums doing street photography too, well done
For honest feedback I think that you need to work on maintaining detail in the shadowed & distant areas of your images & watching the levels of contrast too - if you try increasing your aperture a tad, overexposing by a third of a stop (watch those blown highlights though) & then bringing it back in post processing then it should help imo.
As you don't have the edit button ticked I won't try altering your images but it can often help to get other people interpretations of your images - I'd probably add levels, curves & brightness/contrast to increase the tonal values & overall lighten the images.
Looking forward to more, tis not easy doing street photography but you don't half improve fast when you do!

Thanks for the advice, it was a real hard day to shoot today, the sun was in and out like an italian honeymooner:lol: Hopefully using this forum, i can pick up some good tips, and improve my pictures, thanks again.
Have added the EDIT MY PICS option, so if people wanna have a go and make them better, go for it, all help is appreciated
 Anytime mate  Know it sounds weird but a bit of fill flash can make all of the difference on really bright days just to lift some detail in the shadowed areas. Is always difficult finding the right balance between blown skies & dark shadows but I think that you're off to a great start.

Welcome to the forums newyorkaddict :D and nice two shots to start with  I have had a quick play in photoshop with both of them. Basically did and auto levels in photoshop (yeah, I am lazy and could have done it manually) then a bit of a sharpen and a little use of the dodge and burn tools, just to lighten the shadows and darken the highlights etc. Look forward to seeing some more :D

I'm adding another picture of the market hall, i THINK i have this one a little better. It doesn't have any really blown out highlights, and i think the contrast is about spot on. But as i say, if people wanna have a go and see if it needs any improvement, go for it, cheers.;):)
