My first attempt at any sort of sport team photography really (though i do quite a bit of climbing).

I was quite pleased with the result as it was initally very dark i increased the brightness quite dramatically. A high iso can explain the grainyness. Flash was not allowed so im quite happy with the result

C&C appricated

Really like the angle on this shot and great timing aswell. it is a bit grainy but at high iso's indoors not much you can do about it  Nice shot :)

Looks a tad underexposed, though you were shooting into the windows also.

What metering were you using? No chance of a slower shutter and panning on a particular player?

The original itself was really underexposed you could hardly see anything. This was shot on 125 anything faster was just black. I was just getting the windows in to get a bit more light in the shot. What would you have suggested metering LeeP i think i just used multi segment.

I's have tried spot - theres a lot of dark in the picture and you're wanting really to focus the attention on him (in a black shirt also).

I'd have been tempted to overexpose slightly also if required and then step it back in PP.

Easier to do on black than white though !

I really was struggling with the light conditions, though spot may have helped. I was over exposing quite alot really and i wanted to retain the colour

Hi there, did you fire off a burst? If so I would love to see the next couple of frames. The spike and block would look good me thinks.....Ian

Nice :)

It is usually better to go too high with the iso and over expose a bit as it shows less noise than under exposing and trying to brighten it up.

Exif says pattern metering so the camera has taken an average of the whole scene. Partial or spot would have been better. If you were staying in one place you may have done better with manual and just chimped the best exposure settings.
