Transformer - abstract

mm well.. ok... its not a picaso but i kinda like it nevertheless. Firstly taken while out on a walk and totally bored cause I couldnt find anything else to shoot, but when i looked at it at home i kinda liked it. Would have liked to zoom in on it a bit more and make it more of an macro abstract but that kinda didnt work... just dont look right. Any thoughts on this ????

Hmm... I recognise what it is (one of those insulators from which power cables hang, right?) and I like the idea of that sort of abstract thing - I just don't 'get' that shot.

It's also quite soft and lacking any impact.

I reckon that a picture of parts of a pylon/transformer/substation could be really cool though - but from the right angle with the right sort of sky behind.

ok.. thanks for the comment... points taken.. might try again when the weather is better and see if i can improve on it xx

Ditto what has been said, that is a good idea you have just take your time over it. You should go back again and spend a bit of time on the other parts and see what images you can come up with :)
