This is one of the close up portraits shot talked about in a previous entry (http://www.marcelbooth.co.uk/2007/11/19/a-cigar-and-a-coffee/).
We asked him to just carry on and pretend we weren’t there, and to his credit, he did. He just carried on smoking and enjoying his coffee.
I realised I framed this quite tightly…too tightly I think, but to be honest, I just snapped away without thinking really. Typical schoolboy error http://www.marcelbooth.co.uk/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

Nice shot marcel, I think it is quite tightly framed like you pointed out. But the rest is good

I really like the original shot, not too keen on this one as it's a bit meaningless - he could be surrounded by 1000 5'10 blonde belly dancers and you wouldn't know!

.. does beg the question .. what is he looking at - 1 belly dancer (Moomike) ?

I'd consider doing a grittyish BW conversion.

Tad of a shame that his suit jacket vanishes into the dark windows
