Hi shane

I really like the first. Good colours and composition. Lead in lines work well as well. Good spot!

The second however is not really for me. The angle kinda spoils it imo. The image doesn't flow very well, and I find it hard to rest my eye in the shot without feeling like I'm in the wrong place. I would however love to see a version that is taken from a horizontal perspective, as the scene does look quite picturesque (SP?)

Hi Woodsy

I had a quick flick though my gallery and regret that I do not have a horizontal shoot of the second picture I posted.

If I remember rightly my 18-55 kit lens wasnt quiet wide enough which resulted in me tilting the shot.

Thanks again for your contribution :)

The first shot is excellent, I am afraid the second one doesn't flick my switch. Lovely place blagdon great trout fishing.

Thanks!

I found that the whole area was beautiful - I have loads of the lake aslo, some of them turned out pretty well...

I will have to find some time to post my favourites.

Does anyone else have any pictures from around the Blagdon area?

I'm a 15 minute drive away and yet do not have a single photo. It's criminal. I should really make some time and go there.

Maybe you could grab a horizontal shot of my second picture to see how good it would have been

Cavking,

I echo others comments I think - the first shot is nice, well exposed and I love the reflection, but the 2nd for me is just doesn't 'flow' right if you pardon the pun! :D

I too am from around Bristol, but haven't made it to Blagdon - I've been to Chew Valley Lake more than a few times - there's some really interesting places around there. I'd heartily recommend Stanton Drew stone circle for one!!

Thanks for sharing!!
