Had a bash at (HDR) tone mapping.
Is it to much?

I don't think you need to know anything about the HDR process and tone mapping to make a decision on whether you like an image?

Had you straightened the church up a bit, then yes I like the top half, but the super-saturated greens are a bit much for me. If it was mine, I'd have a crack at it again but try to hold back the greens & yellow perhaps a wee bit

But a worthy effort nonetheless - oh, and I love the whole 'HDR' type effect (though not really tried it myself as yet, still, hols coming up eh?)

Thanks Dave,
Thought it was a bit yellow green myself.:)
Now how do I reduce the yellow/green? Do I use the channel mixer thingy in photoshop or is there another way?

Quick edit in lightroom to remove some yellow and geen and a wee crop from the top.

Like both of them but the edit edges it for me. I like the composition and the sky looks great.

2nd better than first but a creditable start!! Bit too dark to the right and left of the image for me.

Keep 'em coming!

The edit gets the nod from me, agree with DiddyDave that the greens were a bit too much in the original. Good effort imho.

Thanks.

I've been playing with a few more tonight, might post them later. Now I need to go and take some photos with different exposures so I can have a proper play. I'am only using 1 raw file at the mo.

Thanks for looking.

I'm a big fan of HDR. I like the original better (agree about the green), but the edit is good. How about B&W? Can you post the original so we can have a play?
