Pic of a lily in my kitchen. The flower head has since fallen off. One of my first shots with the Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro. I deliberately left it slightly over sharp and grainy coz I liked the almost frosty, cake icing effect on the petals. It is a real flower by the way (well it was until it fell apart). C+C welcome.

I may be wrong Brash but that looks like an Orchid.:)
Nice effort!

Hey, I'm a bloke, what do I know about flowers:lol:. My wife is a florist and she takes the bloody things home.

OK; so it's Orchid of the kitchen.

Ta! for the comments, appreciated:thumbs::thumbs:

Nice take, rather unusual angle but nice! refreshingly different actually:thumbs:

Pity about the reddish brown spots on the right but I'm sure they will be a bit tricky to clone out nicely.

Also I think the flash could have been slightly less harsh though.

Agree with the frosted cake idea though, please show more!

Nicely done, I would be tempted to clone out the bits on the petal on the right.
