Hi all, I have got a few domain names now that are a variation on my own website address. Can any of you web wizkids tell how easy or difficult it is to link all the names to be directed to my main site?????.......Ian

Tis a portion of urine sir.

Hopefully your domain registering company will have a control panel area where you can make the addresses point to wherever you want :)

failing that just put a redirect on the index.html on all the domains you want to point somewhere else....

Unless done properly this can cause penalties with search engines

its easy you need to find out the nameservers that your main site is hosted on - then go into the control panel on your additional domains and there should be an option to change the nameservers, enter the nameservers of ** hosted site theres usually a primary and secondary

The least technical way probably is to create a front page that is the same for all the sites but all the links go to your main site. The main drawback to this is that every time you change your front page you have to upload it to multiple sites.

In LCN go to DNS management, in the lower portion create an A record of www and type in the IP address of your site.

So www yourwebserver.co.uk IPADDRESS (of webserver)

Wait 24 hrs, job done.
