View Full Version : Shadows
Another one for comment.
Would it benefit the photo if I crop out the upper lefthand portion and straightened the crack in the wall? Thanks!

I'd straighten it but I think the crop is fine as it is.
Nice abstract!

No - I think it's fine - good image
Liking that ... nice work!
May be just me but I find that image quite scary! I like the crop but agree with the straightening idea.
Very nicely done
i like it, but its a shame u cropped off the the "arm" of the 3rd shadow.
Thanks for responses guys. I'm going to play around with the crop and straightening as well and see what i can come up with.
I agree with you Tooth. I hate that the arm is cut off, but unfortunately there was no crop applied aside from the original shot. I may try to get the shot again, but it was hard enough getting two 5 year olds and one 7 year old still long enough to get it to begin with. lol

hehe i can understand your difficulties, sometiems its the way it goes with kids :)
Im not sure what you were actually going for here, but I agree with Mike, it has a scary sort of feel to it
... and thats actually what I really like about it!
I love the starkness of it, the Anonymity, the way the shapes loom dark against the bright gritty background.... it just grabs you!
The arm cut off helps make the shot, gives a feeling of them moving along.
If you had kept the arm they would just look static.
jmho of course :)
I agree with InaGlo about the arm, I like it the way it is. I don't think it needs straightening either, it looks pretty good as it is.
another one here that loves it the way it is....it communicates well the fact that children really are monsters and you can only see their true selves, when photographed from an oblique angle
