Looks a fantastic place.

Some of those pictures would be so much better if you had some way of holding back that bright sky. I guess this is a compact camera so that may be difficult. A polariser would help for some of them if there is a way of fitting one.

Thanks for the comments. It's a small 5.1MP digital camera - just keeping a record of my wanderings, but I can see from physics recollections that polarisation is an issue.
