Took this while at Donna Nook last weekend.
Quite a few of the adults were playing in the surf, and I managed to catch this pair at the right time.

What are your thoughts?

I think the timing was great, the exposure is great and the crop and framing are great too, however on the version shown here it appears as though the image is slightly soft with the focus being very slighty off. Knowing your skill I am positive that this is down to the compression of the image though and that we are not seeing all of the shots true potential.

It is a nice variation of the typical Donna Nook pictures..

Nice shot Matt, i was trying to get similar but the 100-400 didnt quite have the reach ;) lol

agree with Steve, everything spot on, little soft but a great shot, bet it looks fantastic full size, with no compression :)

Thanks gents.

Your right about it being soft, I think I applied the sharpening before reducing the file for the web, so it hasn't had the same effect as usual.

Here's a reworked version (http://www.mattsphotos.co.uk/TPF/MEP-XC7E4049a.jpg)

Some of the softness may be down to the water still running off the Seal.
The full size file is very sharp as sharpness goes.

The reworked image is much better and supports what I suspected.

Great shot. :)
