You are mad!! I think I would have gone off for whisky and a log fire in those conditions!
Great captures though in lousy conditions, even the weather induced haziness actually works to give a real feeling of cars being driven in treacherous conditions.

Thanks Ladylens, mad - yes thats just what my wife said was up at 4.30 to drive to this and then put up with the weather, ah the joys of photography.
Thanks for the comment, must admit I too rather like the effect the snow has given to the shots, something different !

#2 is outstanding.
The snow sorta makes it look noisy/grainy, but in a really good way, and the colours are fantastic.
Those are great, 2 and 3 particularly!!

Alan,
Looking at the quality gear you use and have pictured,is it not time to throw away the clear plastic and get yourself a proper waterproof camera and lens cover.
This is not a plug for them but google wildlife watching supplies in somerset ,as they do some pukka gear that is great and a lot cheaper than new L series lenses and Mk 2s(And yes I do know of the weatherproofing)
Great to see the piccies in what was foul weather by look of.
Check it out,
Pons.
Yeah number 2 for me too. Suspect it pretty much fairly accurately depicts what it was like, there's almost a Christmas card feel to i as well. Like it a lot.

I'm not a huge fan of car shots but for these I'll make an exception!!!
A fantastic trio of shots that convey the conditions beautifully!
Composition and processing of #2 are fantastic!
Excellent - they make you feel cold just looking. Well done

Well done! No2 is great.
I wanted to take pics but didn't dare take my camera out! And when it did ease off there were no cars going by! I'm going to have to get myself some sort of weather cover...
Excellent set of shots, I like all 3, but if I had to choose then 2, 1 & 3 well done

Alan,
Re Wildlife watching supplies, its pukka kit, made for extreme conditions, and used by Bird and wildlife photographers, and used by my mate who shoots with 500mm F4 Canon stuff with iD M2 AND 3.
We were working yesterday in the rain and I saw it first hand in action, and my order is going in tommorow as I have just had a spend on a mint 1d mk11,and was very impressed.
You wont be using that other stuff much more ,I.ll wager.
