My First Candids.. [Archive] - Talk Photography

Ok, this is my first time out foing Candids.. now i wasnt trying too hard as i did feel a bit of a p*at!! :lol:

It was a little dark and were taken on the 5D and the first two with a 17-40L, a little short!! the second two were with the 70-300.. a little slow.. hehe, no happy medium, although i should have used the 50mm a bit more, i'll sort some taken with that if there is a need for it, but these seem the best of the bunch..

Well, she was a little curious about the long lens being pointed at her.. but then she saw the bloke behind the camera and melted.. lol... :thumbs:

Love the colours, Im looking forward to going out again this weekend and finding unsuspecting people to snap, its really not as easy as it looks, especially when you have a big SLR with an even bigger lens stuck on it!

Why is does a kid in a toy stall buying her own toys get everybodys :thumbs: i dont get it!! :shrug: (Joking:lol:)

i did think at the time " if i can get this shot it'll look nice!!' but i did feel awquard!! there were a few people in between us but they must have thought i was something to do with her. they all moved out of the way!! :thumbs: I WAS hoping that the mum didnt see me!! lol..

It was an experience though, it makes you work quicker with the camera and composition ECT..

Im gonna do it again, i just wish that my longest lens was faster!! :shrug:

Not sure if I'd have the guts to go out in public taking shots of random people and I dont know how I'd react if I saw some unknown geezer taking pics of my daughter :thinking: although I do think non-posed photos are beter than posed.
