Quick tripod question

I've just become the owner of a Slik master classic D3 tripod (SH from ffordes via ebay for £14.99:woot:) This one at the btm http://www.intro2020.co.uk/pages/slik2.htm

Can the head be removed so that I can change it for a ball head or am I stuck with the pan head? It looks like it can but I don't want to get all "ham fisted" with it and break someting if it can't:thinking:

Hi Eric

I've never known a decent tripod where the head can't be unscrewed, and the Slik I owned for many years had this as a feature so you could fasten it to a leg to get lower down

Just tighten the pan bit and it should unscrew
