Close up Lens for 30D [Archive]

I want to take close up picures of rings, earings cuff links etc. at weddings can anyone suggest a really good lens or adaptor for my 17-85 IS USM that would be suitable.

Phil,
Your 17-85 will give you a 0.2x mag at the minimum focus distance of 350mm. If you add a 12mm tubethen this will increase to 0.43x at the long end. A 25mm tube will give you 0.72x at the long end.
If you're talking about rings and cuff links then 0.72x is probably very close to what you'll need on a crop sensor.
