The 1st one was just hanging there in its web, the 2nd is from underneath, no glass involved, other than the bit stuck on the front of the camera! ;)

Did you use a set of those little macro flashes in no 1 or a regular flash?

The droplets on the web really make the shot:thumbs:

The on board flash was used in both shots. The first one was back lit by the early morning sun too.

This is why I hate macro stuff, as it always involved melting insects and spiders :gag::gag:

Seriously good captures though, I just feel ill now :(

Great shots. Love the droplets on the 1st and the focus on the spiders eyes in the second is bang on!!!
What lens did you use? I couldn't figure it out from your "my gear" pic:eek::eek::eek:
