inspired by quite a few people, also trying to move away from hdr'ing people, so kind of finding my feet with new processing methods:)

lullz, thats the oddest thing I've heard someone say in a while, and probably the knub of everything I think is wrong with photo editing these days.

I like these, the peeps ones have a nice candid quality.
#1, Allthough she's not looking into the camera, she's just about to, I wind the action on a couple of seconds in my mind, its part of the photo.
#5, The two figures walking away are a story, any story I want, the photo encourages me to make one.

I suppose the biggest problem is lighting, colour balance, flash is the only way really but in a busy street at night ? tricky.

Have not heard any script kiddie talk such as 'lullz' 'knub' 'pwn3d' for a while.

#6 for me, I love the contact with the subject, against the blurred background.

well if you cut out the : ( & :), I'll banish lullz, we can both go research the adult meaning for Knub....

*adds "pwn3d" to kiddie script*

 ...

;) @ Blinkerz.

You should start a thread about that Joxby, be interesting to know yours and others thoughts on that processing aspect.

Good shots Tristan, six and eight for me, he looks very lonely in six, like hes trying to phone home.

Nice set, mostly too dark as a crit.

Like Ad and John have said, great set, but a bit dark - trouble is, we know its not easy doing this stuff at night - get out in daylight too you bloody vampire ;)

WOW! Those are just beauties! I love just about all of them...really. The warm glow of the evening, and merriment, really sets the mood.

What were you're cam settings for shot #7? That's my fav! Thanxx

I love photography - it's so personal and subjective, some people absolutely love some shots while others don't like or get them at all

Doesn't mean the photos are wrong either way, nor that the viewer who gets/doesn't get them is wrong either - it's just a different viewpoint

With that in mind then don't take this personally, but in this set I'm firmly in the don't like don't get camp - but then the point of pretty much anyone's 'Street Photography' passes me by. But then I usually love your HDR stuff, and there's plenty hereabouts who can't stand it

Photography's great isn't it!

I like 2,6 & 8, but number 8 just tips the scales for me

nice feedback and alot of points taken on board, diddydave i think your view is very true of photography and not every theme / subject will appeal to everyone. I never thought i would like street photography myself, but theres something about capturing a split second of random people amongst the busy city life.
