Can anyone explain why the forum is running so slowly.
It takes an age to load pages .
Is it the forum or is it my puter.
It does,nt happen on other sites.:help:

Fine here Dave. Try deleting your cache and cookies. It could be spyware slowing you down too - that's often the case when I get those problems.

I had a couple of pages/ threads take a long time to load late last night:(

I ended up closing firefox and re opening.

No problem here today (fingers crossed), but must admit I do sometimes have to wait an age. Usually fixed by closing windows and starting again.

mines been running extremely slow for the last few days too. Every other site seems fine. HOw queer

Mine runs slowly too, sometimes. I've run spyware etc and no change. When tab browsing (I usually have ebay, email and Google as well as TP open) all other sites work fine but TP loads slowly. Re-boots make no difference but sometimes it works fine. It's ok at the moment.:shrug::thinking:

Hmm strange. Running fine for me too.

Any particular time of day guys? contention can be an issue sometimes, or is you isp throttling you maybe? Could also just be a network problem somewhere in the country slowing you down.

Grinding to a halt all day. It isn't my PC and all other sites are fine, trying to get in touch with a member who has a camera in the "for sale" section but just cant get a decent page refresh.

Well I must admit these forums are different day to day regarding opening pages up..:thinking:

Other sites open up fine, Infact very quick.

We all know about traffic but I have taken half an hour to see either late at night or early morning and its just the same..:shrug:

Very high spec PC with very little running in the background.

Windows Vista.

4Gb Ram

Internet Explorer up to date.

8 Mb ADSL connection.


BTW: It running fine today, Can't complain.:)

i emptied my cache and deleted cookies , and now it seems to be ok. Dont know for how long but i will not use the BIG HAMMER yet:) :thankyou:
