Hi all, couple of weeks back here in the pretty Welsh borders, we got a stunning, beautiful layer of frosty ice allover...paired with some early morning fog and it seemed like my idea of a winter heaven....am relatively new to outdoor photography (mainly stick with indoor studio & fashion work) so any critiques, opinions of the shots would be most appreciated- don't hold back!

*P.S. bare with me on the image quality as I had to reduce and minimize for uploading, etc. Obviously they real pics are around 8MB's each!

Berries are great, pin sharp love em.

Afraid that the trees don't really do it for me though. On this monitor they look really soft and the first tree one just seems to be crammed in, there isn't anything there that draws my eye (sorry).

Yeah, see what ya mean...somehow when I uploaded them to my image hoster on high-quality upload setting, they still came out that way..arrggghh! Pity as my originals look sooo much crisper! thanx though xx

Hi E.H

Our image size limit is 800px on the longest side, could you resize no 4?

Also, regarding resizing, if you resized your images for web, did you give the pics another sharpen afterwards? (sorry if Im teaching you to suck eggs). :)

In depth critique is for comment on one image only (as per the rules for the critique section) so I'm moving this to general sharing. If you want in depth comments on one picture you can make a new thread in critique.

Really like the berries in #3, although they do look a little on the soft side - nothing a quick sharpen wouldn't fix.

hi all...thanks for the feedback. Have a confession to make, the red 'berries' are actually crab apples! makes more of a twist to the shots lol
