A few nice photo's there Kay. I particularly like the low angle one of the cows.
BTW Welcome to TP
Welcome to TP kayleigh :)
If you're looking for critiques you'll find you're better posting one or two images into a thread rather than linking to a gallery elsewhere. People will just tend to make a generic comment rather than offering any real advice :)
Your horizon is a bit wonky on the fourth shot ;) but the horse race image gives a good impression of speed!
Hi kayleigh,
Welcome to TPF.
Tbh, I find it quite difficult to critique your pictures, as for the most part they seem to lack any kind of direction ... as you said yourself, they are rather random!
I would say one of my 'picks' would be the lorry on the motorway. It has what is known as good 'lead-in lines' (something that draws you into the picture). Sorry if you know about that already, if you dont I suggest you Google/search/read-up.
Try and think of how you want people to see what youre seeing ... are arms, legs cut off? How is the light falling on your subject? for animals, are you down to their level?
If landscapes, is there any real focus points for the 'eye to rest upon' are horizons straight? are there any lead-in lines to use to your advantage? are there any ugly distractions? ... and again think light!
You dont have to have the best camera in the world but it does help if youre actually interested in the subject youre photographing.
Hth. :)

repost
As Glo said. They lack direction. They're basically a bit random. The sky in the first is blown out, the tree on the right is blurry, and the sun isn't adding to the image. The second has a large branch obscuring a third of the image and nothing to really look at again. You have to ask yourself what you want to photograph, then think about things that might get in the way and work around them.
