Nikon lenses to Canon cameras...seen this www.16-9.net/nikon_g

I'm a little confused  everything is disabled you have to focus the lens in manual and you can't meter.

What would the point be in this ?

I've got to agree, why on earth would anyone want to use excellent Nikon optics on a Canon.

he he ^ wait..it says why in your link

Because, as a Canon user, you – and your camera – demand the best lenses available. Sometimes the best lens is a Canon; sometimes it's a Leica or a Zeiss; and sometimes it's a Nikon.

interestingly, there isn't a Canon lens to Nikon mount...

You dont need af, metering or any of that new fangled stuffz to take a photo

Shame too. With some of the great new nikons coming out I'd have a serious look if I could use my existing lenses.

I looked into this when I bought my D200 and my wife's D40x.

Apparently it is due to the physical size of the mount. The adapter for a nikon lens on a canon camera fits without moving the lens away from the sensor. As the mount for the canon is wider than the opening on a Nikon the adapter would have to move the lens away from the sensor which would clearly mess it all up hence it can be done one way but not the other (apparently!)
