I went up to the seafront to take some snaps yesterday, the weather was awful (complete overcast) but this happened at around 4pm! Any feedback, good or bad would be appreciated!

I like that - very mean and moody. Is that horizon a bit skewiff ;) and can't decide whether I'd crop a bit off the bottom or not

Good shot though

I like that very much too, but I can't decide whether the patch of sun detracts or adds to the scene!!!!

Rocks and water look lovely though!

Nice moody shot, was there a filter used? Just seems a little lean to the left, but then if you were to straighten it, the ship would then lean to the right.
I really like.

That is fabulous, I love it.

As much as I love the rocks, I would crop a tad of the bottom though. Just to remove the even proportions of the rock, sea and distant bits.

I like it aswell, the foreground interest makes a huge difference, if it wasn't there, it would just be an ok picture, but it isn't, it's great.

i like the composition but maybe the bright area is slightly blown. could you blend 2 RAW conversions to try and bring that area back a touch? it is striking though and i do like it.

I like

It's different and quite gritty if that makes any sense. Only things I would say detract slightly are the droplets on the bottom right and possibly the sun patch as Dark star said. I wouldn't touch the crop though, the rocks at the bottom are just right. :)

Nice moody shot, was there a ND filter used? Just seems a little lean to the left, but then if you were to straighten it, the ship would then lean to the right.
I really like.

It was actually done using a polarizer and a make shift nd grad - I only have one and its a cokin (size a) which doesn't fit my tokina 12-24 so i literally held it against the front end of the lens!

I've only just noticed these droplets since you metioned it, doh! I suppose that's why people post images for critique on here ;)

Thanks for everyones comments, much appreciated!

Here is another taken from the same shoot. I was a bit annoyed as I was trying to freeze waves coming over the peir with my flashgun but all of them seem to be a little bit soft as the wind blew the tripod about!

Great pictures- reminded me of when I used to live in Plymouth 20 years ago! Here's a photo I took in the exact same spot in 1988!
