My eyes keep coming back to the little upright twig at the bottom centre foreground...:bang:

Good idea and exposure, but for me, there's too much foreground. I think it might have been improved if you'd moved further to the right and shot the cottage with more of the blue sky in the background (I'm guessing there would've been some interesting clouds there too, given the recently-departed shower to the right). Is that your shadow front left too?

I hear what you say. If I had done that I would have fallen down a big hole the other side of which was a barbed wire fence. So it was that or nothing.:lol:

I like the idea but I think the shadows across the foreground distract from the cottage in the background. Perhaps worth another visit :)
