Took this the other day. The Ash are the trees.

I like it. my only negative, is possibly too much dark at the bottom, rather than having more of the top

I really like the shot mate... But there is something small that is not quite right for me... I can't help but thinking if you had have taken that exact same shot but in portrait from the same position, (maybe a smidge further back) then you would have been able to compose the shot better. At the moment there is too much ground for the amount of tree in the shot. So taking in portrait would have meant you could keep the same amount of ground at the bottom of the frame, acquired more of the tree in for foreground, and kept the distant tree the same size in the shot. (Any smaller and it would be too small)

Otherwise, Love the shot :)

I think the actual idea was probably to get a silhouette by metering from near the sun.. looks fine to me.
