Has anyone used the above lens?

I picked one up on ebay just now for £143, which seems good to me..

I've been wanting a fast mid-range zoom (really want the 28-70mm AF-S F2.8, but thats a lot of money!) and this seems to fit the bill.. Should compliment my 12-24mm F4 and 70-200mm F2.8 VR nicely.

I will use the above combo for 'proper' shooting and my new 18-200mm (if I ever get it!!) for a general walkabout/snapshot lens..

If it doesn't turn out great, I can always sell it on...

I have the 28-70 and it's by far the best lens I own. Surprising then that I hardly use it, preferring the 17-35 and the 80-200 on the cameras when I'm oot an aboot.

to be honest, I suspect I will still mainly use my 12-24 and 70-200 VR most of the time, but when I do need that mid-range, I have often been found wanting a faster lens for either low-light situations or to throw the background out of focus (the Kit lens and 24-120 aren't ideal in either respect).
