Thank you to everyone who submitted entries. The standard was very impressive throughout.
One of the nicest things about the competition is seeing the huge improvement in the personal work of everyone, particularly some who've placed highly in the results. That's what we're all about here at TPF, helping each other improve, and it's probably the best justification for running the competition in the first place, apart from the fact that it's fun anyway.
Time to get busy thinking about entries for the coming year, the standard is only likely to get higher but - 'you gotta be in it to win it!' So come on guys & gals ... you might just surprise yourselves!

WOW :eek: What can I say? :D

I remember in January last year I said to myself (and I think publicly on the forums) that, whatever happened, I was going to enter every round of POTY 2007. I’d never have believed then that I’d go and win it :)

I consider it a real honour to have come first in a competition where the standard has been so high throughout the year. I also feel a little embarrassed :$ to have won when there are so many photographers on Talk Photography who are so much better than I, but I guess you’ve got to be in it to win it :)

Thanks to everyone who has voted for my entries throughout the year. I’m really looking forward to POTY 2008 now. It’s great to see the new format going down so well and so many entries already. It’s going to be tough to try and retain my crown ;)

(sorry, this is turning into a bit of a “Richard Attenborough” isn’t it :lol: )

Can I also thank the Admins for all the hard work and effort that they put in behind the scenes to run the competitions. I’m sure I speak for each and every one of us when I say that we really do appreciate it :clap:
