My girly took this on her point and shoot on a recent trip to the German countryside, the colour version wasn't much cop so i gave it the mono treatment...thoughts..?

I prefer the second actually but cant say why. Its a really nice image but something about the expanse of foreground is not quite right. IMO.:)

Because of the mirror image of 1 & 2 theres not much difference and would go for no 1, although i feel there is an intrusion of to much foreground.

#1 for me, but I'd crop so the the spire is on left-hand third point and would crop out a lot of the FG.

Your edit above is pretty much what I was going to suggest. Maybe just 2-4mm more off the bottom.
