Saving an edited image

I'm having problems saving an edited image from my imaging software to my pc.

Once I've edited image in 'digital photo prfesional' and save to pc I loose all editing.
The software came with the camera (30D) so if anyone has knowledge of this software and can help, it would be appreciated.

Also the end result I want to post up on here. Can I do this through photobucket?

Try saving as the program base extension, close the program.

Re-open image and "save as"

Check software for updates etc.
