I've finally got around to doing something with my photos from York on Sunday.

Having seen the other threads from the York meet I'm almost embarrased to show these, but nothing ventured, nothing gained and if anything these show that I need to learn from my mistakes.

I've put them all in my gallery (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1460&ppuser=159) but here are a few to show you the general idea.

A gate that caught my eye in the NRM

Not a fan of the first two i'm afraid but the rest are excellent Braeden, St. Helens square being my favourite i think, though the qhoir one has turned out quite well too, i like the way you can see their feet :)

Lovely shots :) nothing to be ashamed of there at all! I wish I had spotted those gates in the first shot, very nicely taken! Think my fav is St Helens square, not seen anyone get a shot like that, and I for one am kicking myself that I didnt, nicely spotted and a great shot :)

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I must admit, looking at them today I don't think they're quite as bad as I thought they were when I posted them.

Some really good shots. Like the gate and agree with Mattyh about the symmetry. No4 is superb and the wheel is fantastic. Excellent captures

First for me, what an unusual, and intelligently taken shot, very appealing.

No need to be embarrased to show these mate - the Ghostly one is a lovely shot, think most folks would be pleased with that one
