First week back at school, hence the expression.
#1 looks odd with just a patch of red in the reflection
#2 for me, B&W reflection doesn't look right for some reason.
Two for me as well, the mono reflection doesn't quite work IMO.

DOH, thanks for that, never spotted it. Edited.
still a couple of blobs
and you'll have the pixel police on your case if you're not careful!
yeah 2 is the better imo, I dont really get half and half stuff.
I would say about 2 is, the tarmac is annoyingly blue, could be sky reflection or a bi-product of saturation, its the only thing I feel like deducting a point for.:)
Nice shot, well composed with interest..
is that you in your av ?, you look half familiar
great shot i prefer 2 ***, something not quite right with 1.
I'm going to be boring and agree with everyone else. i prefer the colour reflection :)
Quite an interesting shot. Number 2 works best for me.
Like the idea of a half and half and of the two think 1 is a better picture, but as mentioned above, for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, it just doesn't look right.
Have you tried it the other way round, B&W with coloured reflection of the brolly and lad?.

Thanks for the C&C folk, was trying something different. Dont know how the colored blogs made it through editing. Used a new layer converted the bottom layer to BW and then used a large erasure tool in elements to erase the color top layer.
Thats me in the AV yes, 7miles south of Leeds?
4 miles south of Leeds, but I work in Leeds mostly, if I know you it will be from work, I get about a bit...I think the lack of hair is throwing me off a definate yay or nay
I also prefer No2. Not a big fan of selective colouring, but if I was going to do it with that shot, I would have done it the other way round, especially with the expression on your boys face. A black and white brolly with the reflection in colour.
