HI there, Wells is lovely place isn't it...

I would say that in the first one it has a good composition but the 2 posts are a bit distracting, maybe a tighter crops was needed or even some cloning.

The 2nd for me could do with a bit more definition, and maybe an increase in saturation levels/or a warming filter.

The 3rd isn't showing for some reason

Otherwise some great piccies.

Agree with Krazy_horse no1 is a good shot but could do with cropping out or cloning the posts in front right hand corner.
No 2 nothing of real interest in the shot but think I can see what you were trying to do.
Keep shooting Tony :)

1 - clone out the posts and level the horizon.

2 - doesn't do anything for me, sorry.

For the second one, I was trying to get the layers of the sand going up to the grass on the top. Sorry if i have done it wrong. I am just learning :P

I don't think he was saying it was "wrong" just maybe something slightly different was required...

I've just looked at the EXIF and it says you were shooting at F/4.9, for this type of shot i think you need to have all of the shot "in focus", this will require a much smaller aperture, F/11 or more, but the down side of this is that you will require a much longer shutter speed, so a tripod will be needed or a wall if you have one spare ;)

you can't always compare f-stops on compacts / bridge / prosumer (stupid term) with those on SLR cameras.

Just looked up the Fuji f-stop range and it goes from F2.8 - F4.9, so in compact camera terms, its quite stopped down as it is.

Much better with the posts gone Tony:thumbs:

I think the second one just hasn't worked for what ever reason, there's not really anything to draw the viewer into the picture.
