So after a long night at work I thought I would get the camera out.
I know it is not a great pic (but then it wasmy first try for this kind of shot). Had a huge struggle with the tripod as it did not want to play the same game as me.

I will pop here a couple of pic's, like I say I know they are not great but feedback would be most welcomed.

First pic has just had the border added, the second has had a little tweaking.

The first ones positioning of the moon within the frame is very good. I like it. Well done.:thumbs:

I don't know if maybe the second is sharper???
Was going to crop the second so the moon was in the same place as the first.

Nice!!!
I agree, I think No. 2 is sharper, more detail on the craters at the terminator.

I think if you frame the second in exactly the same way as the first, it will be an absolute winner. Well done. What settings/lens?

Ok so a little trimming and a border done to the second of the pic's.

Canon EOS300D
Sigma 170-500mm Lens (at 500mm)
Jessops x2 Convertor (so making the above 1000mm??)
Tripod
Settings:
1/800 sec
f/5.6
ISO 1600
