Taken by me with my other halfs p&s on a cruise.

Haven't had any time to play with my new D300 yet, what with being ill all over Christmas and new year, plus having my Border Collie taken seriously ill and put to sleep last week.

I hope the year gets better from here.

So I thought as a new member here I had better post something and I Have all my prints and slides in storage at the mo. (am a convert to digital)

I found this when having a file tidy session.

We were travelling up the approaches to Venice on a cruise ship at the time and were told to get up early in order to see the sun come up.

It's noisy but was at the limits of the p&s whilst being handheld. Holds nice memories.

I like that a lot PsiFox - the muted colours really work and the comppositionis spot on.

Sorry to hear about the collie - we lost a spaniel last week :(

get that new toy out and about

Thanks for that, pleased you like the shot.

The muted colours are completely natural/

You think the comp is ok? I cropped a little off the bottom and right side to centre it up a little more.

Sorry to hear about the spaniel though:(

The comp works becuase the sunstreak is strong and left of centre - your horizon is bang on. Sometimes breaking the rules is more fun and creates a better image than being anal with them:thumbs:
