Another newbie :)
Just thought I'd say Hi to everyone...I've been lurking for a while after seeing the link to here on another photography forum. Anyhow, I've plucked up the courage to post now...

I'm Cheryl, relatively new to photography, and never one to do things by halves, I have a Nikon D70, having never owned a film SLR. I'm slowly getting to grips with the functions of the camera, armed with a few photography magazine subsciptions, a very confusing book by Michael Langford, and an online course.

I'm also fairly new to this part of the country (Hampshire) as I'm a Yorkshire girl, so I'm having fun exploring with camera in tow and trying to get to know people.... see you all around:D

Hi there Cheryl....I only joined yesterday and have found this the friendliest site ever! I'm originally from Hampshire and have lots of ties there, only moved to Cambs this year so I am finding my feet here too!

OMG

Thats about 6 miles from where I live. Lived here all me life up until 2003, then moved down Bawtry way for a while, came back here in October.

Tis a small world.

Hello Cheryl. :wave2:

Hi there Cheryl....I only joined yesterday and have found this the friendliest site ever!

It's really nice to see this from Marianne, because that's exactly what we're trying to make this board - the friendliest ever. We have all levels of experience here from pros to newcomers, but you wont find any inflated egos here, everyone has one common aim, to improve and to help each other in the process. :)

a very confusing book by Michael Langford

He does that a lot - I first came across him almost 20 years ago on my degree course.
They still use his books on the Baby Course at RAF Cosford...
Nothing's changed...
