I have a couple of old Velbon tripods from when I started years and years ago, but when I got back into photography recently, I picked up a Manfrotto 785B.
This is a very lightweight tripod with 5 section legs so it's quite compact, enabling me to get it on the back of the bike (I ride a FireBlade...) and when required, it fits on the kit bag.
This enables me to travel lightly around race circuits so I can get my motor sports pictures. It also is handy for town photography, as I can carry it on the bag when on the tube.
However, the head is not very good and I'd like to replace it with something better. Does anyone know if that's possible, as it was a fairly cheap tripod.
