Can anyone tell me the difference between canons extension tubes and Jessops extension tubes. I thought that both would bring far away things closer but the jessop rings seem to be only macro.

Are you getting mixed up with Tele-converters and macro tubes?
TC's are for extending in focal length and Macro-tubes for reducing it, sorry if you already knew this

Just as Cobra says.......

Teleconverters are often referred to as "Extenders" as opposed to "Extension tubes"

I have Jessops extension tubes, and the difference between those and the Canon ones is miniscule - apart from the price! All extension tubes will increase the distance between lens and sensor, thus allowing you to get closer to the image, which obviously makes it look bigger in the frame. It sounds like you need a teleconvertor if you want to increase your zoom capability.

Thanks guys. Looks like I will have to get an extender tube as well. Been making big money with the new rings!!
