I love the Siskin in #3, but all are pretty good considering the light that was available today.
More than I managed today anyway.

I was almost ready to give up shooting garden birds once i saw these..Then it hit me..I have a Better Blackbird shot than you..:razz:
What lens were you using for these.?
Simply stunning pictures.
Thanks folks, been trying for ages to get a Siskin and only half successful today, took at least 100 shots just to get something, but it passed the time on a miserable windswept day, my garden is usually a desert except for gragarious Starlings(eat everything)
Shame about the Blackbird he got in the way so had to snap him, don't believe it Craig not a Blackbird no never :bang:
You've got some good shots there, considering the light available. I'm hoping to get some this weekend.
Sorry Craig was thinking of that Blackbird, I'm using a Canon 70-300IS but not very good at using the settings as my son (Mikeyb)said been better if taken them at 800ISO which is probably true. I get a lot of pleasure with the camera but age doesn't help with these modern things but really appreciate any comments good or bad, anything that points me in right direction.
My thoughts are, never be afraid to post just because its not up to the standard set by some others on here they usually gave fair and very useful comments, look forward to any you post.
 Nice set there Dunedin, I particularly love the first siskin one  comical yet wonderful

great set there
I like the siskin's
Only ever had one of these in my garden and even then it waited till my camera was away
Thanks again, just to say the Siskin is on a feeder and had to crop to take it out, they must be the most frustrating birds I've ever tried to photograph, had to have it on multipule just to get a couple, continually alert they are.
Hello there. I am quite taken by the Dunnock. Yir Roe deer the other day was very good too. See I have a bit of catching up to do.
Hi Charlie nice to hear from you, I'm still without transport so your cabin hasn't been perused yet but haven't given up hope. Loved your landscapes a while back or *** I didn't comment as thats one of my achilles heel(commenting) but you have great eye for it and they are some of my favs, especially like yourself love trees and the countryside. The roe, I just got lucky that was all so not claiming any great stalking feat. All the best and hope to catch up with you before I get claimed by a greater being.
I am claimed by a greater being tomorrow. Had my arm twisted to do a wedding. Got some instructions for the shots today. Wedding tomorrow!!!. My hair canna get any greyer anyway!!
