View Full Version : Thread Viewing has Changed ?

I used to see "New Posts" that included those with responses I had made on them. :Ponders:
Now, if I respond to a thread (or make a new one) it disappears from my "New Post" screen.
Could I have it back please ... or is it me gotten something wrong again ?:confused-

That is because, once you reply, it has no new posts since you last viewed it. As soon as another reply is made, it will appear on New posts again :)

But I did used to see the thread as if it was a new post after my responses.
At least you (and hopefully others ?) can see what I post ... I still cannot.
Would be interested to know if you can see yours for definite after you have finished responding/posting ?

No, I cannot, not until someone responds to it anyhow. You can always use the subscribed threads in Quick Links

Thanks (again) Warspite :thumb: - thought I was going round the proverbial.:nut:
But I did used to see the whole thread thing as "New Post" whether it was me or someone else who had newly posted ... didn't I ?:confused-
This seems to have changed over the Xmas period and, to me is the worse for it if you are trying to keep track.:smilenod:
its the upgrade, the system now keeps track of where youve been and what you've replied to, it will only show the thread as new if someone replies to it, very confusing i know!

Confusing if used to the previous, but much more intelligent, and I'd say an improvement :)

It does take a little getting used to - but on the whole (IMHO) it makes it much less cluttered and for that I see it as an improvement.

:D :D :D
I think it's better. What I do is when I've finished looking through new posts use the Mark Forums Read button. If you then use the New Posts tab it will show no new posts or only those posted since you marked forums read. New posts should still show up in red anyway, at least they do for me, :)
