My son is a big fan of the London Eye, we go up a lot but every time we have been unlucky with the weather - skies have always been that flat white / grey that always blows out. Fared slightly better this time as the sunset was quite breathtaking.

Only armed with my 50mm (shame as a wideangle view would have been great) but here are a few.

Just as we were getting on the Eye, the sky started turning pink. You can see the reflection in the pod here...

Just starting to get dark..

Vivid colours as it got dark:

Saturdays sunset down here on the south coast was very much that colour. I've never seen a sunset like it. Quite simply breathtaking.

They are a lot better than what I managed to get a couple of weeks back due to the weather problem you mentioned... and i'd specially booked a sunset "flight" too

Thank you

The sky really was that colour. Ive tweaked the saturation a tad, but only a tad (more to bring out the lights on the parliment buildings rather than the sky). It was one of the nicest sunsets Ive seen for awhile - late Jan into Feb is great for red / pink skies in the south (might be up north too, but I dont live there and cant comment :D ).

Appreciate the comments anyway, cheers.

Great Sky!

This is a nice set, I like number 5 the most, the lighting and the sky are great.

Are you sure you only had your 50mm? 3, 4 & 5 are really good!

Nice set and what a sunset! 3,4 & 5 for me. No lights behind the clock in Big Ben? (yes I know it's the name of the bell...)
