Some recent stuff around the 'pool.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_8090.jpg

#1 - I was out for a walk and I spotted this. I’m not sure why but it looked interesting.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_8091.jpg

#2 - Falkner Street. Great place, great coffee shop.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_8499.jpg

#3 - Do you? Liverpool is slowly being covered by lots of questions. Its cool.

#4 - Falkner St reflected

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_8495.jpg

#5 - New bridge from Liver St car park to John Lewis

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_8439.jpg

#6 - Bin bags across from the Town Hall. They were there for a few days.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_8498.jpg

#7 - There’s a Capital of Culture in there somewhere. This is the back end of the Paradise Street Project near Seel Street. Its hard to imagine that this will all be done by September. It doesn’t look like its changed in a year.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_9600.jpg

#8 - The magnificent St Georges Hall in Liverpool. I’m so glad they cleaned this building as it is now stunning.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_9526.jpg

#9 - Say hello to Penelope. This, as I’ve just learnt, is the name of the crazy structure by Cream in Wolstenholme Square. Its been there since 2004 and I’ve just found out its called Penelope. I’m not sure which is crazier.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/img_9531.jpg

#10 - See what I mean about questions.

#11 - This is the current state of the Pier Head area, where the new canal link is. I’m not sure but I thought it was meant to be finished this year and it doesn’t quite look finished.

http://www.vanilladays.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/img_9762.jpg

#12 - Rush hour on Water Street. I know its a bit blown out around the sun, but I don't think the overall feel of the photo is lost.

#13 - Irish Guards marching through town. I will post more of these at a later date.

Very nice set #4, #7 & #11 for me.
#7 & #11 look quite 'busy' but still hold the attention.

Glad you like them guys :) #7 is meant to be busy because its showing the iconic Liver Building being hidden by all the construction. Its symbolic of that area of town and the whole capital of culture thing. Sure its a mess, but Liverpool and its culture is in there somewhere :) #11, not as symbolic, just a building site so I can appreciate it might be too busy.

I think the busyness (sp) works in those shots it show that Liverpool is a changing city at the moment.

St Georges Hall looks amazing on your photo - nice work!

I think I need to spend some more time around Liverpool as you've definitely found some good subjects.

Number 1 and 11 are my favourites.

I really like number one because it's bizarre and makes you ponder.

Number 11 is fantastic! I walked past this yesterday with my camera and just didn't bother taking a shot, but then again there wasn't a sky like that in your shot. It's a stunning capture.

I also like the 'Do you believe in God?' as well.

Great work!

I hope you see what I mean by clean now :) Liverpool is full of great photos. Go for a wander. Its all I do. Just go around sunset as you'll get the best light.

:D I was just walking down Hope St and saw the shirt on the bollard and thought "Um... ok" and figured it would make for a fun photo just to make people do the same.

Excellent stuff once again. I really like all of them, except for my little quibble with no.13 which you already know about. I think the exposure ruins the photo imo :(

Is no 5 an abstract or one of your city centre documenting photos?

I like the reflection one best.

All good, but 12 takes the biscuit, excellent use of light to provide dramatic effect, sun doesn't overpower.

Cheers :) I was half expecting people to slate it for being "blown out" etc and missing out on the atmosphere I was going for.
