Mrs. Kendo and I are heading up to the Craigellachie Hotel, Speyside for our silver wedding anniversary at the end of March. Can anyone tell me what photo opportunities are in the area.

Obviously the distilleries and landscapes will feature, but what else is worth a look?

Cheers dod. Just remembered, they have a bar with almost 700 malts. Better remember the VR lenses and the tripod.

Well, there's Thomas Telfords iron bridge across the Spey at Craigellachie for starters!

Head down to Dufftown, and follow the signs to Cabrach, few miles up the road is Auchindoun Castle. Park on the road, walk up the track at the signpost...

You can pop up to Elgin, visit the remains of Elgin Cathedral...

Or the Speyside Cooperage? Loads of picturesque distilleries round Craigellachie/Dufftown. There's any section of the River Spey, Pluscarden Abbey, home of Benedictine Monks since 1230...

Hope that helps :)
