Playhouse theatre in the very early dawn

I am interested to hear what you think of this photograph. It was taken in the very early dawn using my new 17-55 f2.8 IS USM Canon lens without a tripod 1/40sec, f4, ISO800, 18mm mounted on a canon 350D

technically looks very good
the composition doesn't do anything for me
can't explain why
mebbe needs something in the lower left to lead you in more? :shrug:

Thanks for the comment; I was more interested in finding out about the technical capabilities of the lens rather than the composition. Hence some shortcommings in composition. I was pleased that the shot came out as sharp as it did although the post image is only about 800 pixels so does not refelct the orginal

Quite impressive, guess it shows how IS can make a real difference.
