...since I posted anything -just not getting much shutter time of late, but I've just forced myself out there and caught this flighty piece catching some late afternoon rays.

The Hedge Sparrow or Hedge Accentor is better known as a Dunnock.

Nice shot as always CT :thumbs: I like your dunnock shot better I'm not to keen of the oof branches to the right of your first image just seems to tight and theirs not freedom. Cracking shot at 1/200th with the 500 :thumbs:

Thankee. I always sharpen, but when the images have been reduced to web size as here, they lose resolution and always need sharpening anyway, regardless of how sharp (or otherwise) they were before. :)

See, now I liked the way the oof branches added to the limited DOF for that 3D effect, making the bird stand out. Eye of the beholder though.. :)
