Tripods

I'm looking to buy a tripod. I've been borrowing the studios tripod for a while now and I think I aught to have my own one. What should I look for in a tripod and where is the best place to look/buy them? Ideally I'd like something fairly solid that wont fall over if kicked (I do that a lot) but at the same time easy to carry; preferably with a case of some sort?

Also I'd be interested to know what you use and your feelings on your current tripod.

Amazon has tripods listed fro £12 all the way up to just under £100.

my fav is the manfrotto 055 pro.sturdy, light enough and reasonably priced.handy if your 5,10 plus like me. some of the others are shorter and you end up bending.
we got a cheap ball head of ebay but will upgrade at focus to a 322 head.have a look at the other threads on here. i,m sure theres plenty of opinion.

try warehouse express or even ebay.photoskill are a good ebay seller. i got my head from them, and some backgrounds n suff too.
