Liking these.
1 & 4 are my faves.
Love all the back-spray (or whatever its called, lol!) in the 1st shot.
#4 I like the motion blur of the sand on the left and the sharper space he's moving into on the right, nice clean shot.
Also like the eye-contact in 5 & 6.

Thanks Guy's...a very enjoyable days shooting at Eastbourne Speedway...plenty of light to work with and some good action on the track....even if it was only a practice.
Yes add it to your ever growing list of 'Action' subjects Steve......why not!
You and your gear does tend to get covered in a fine dust from this subject so I try and cover my gear as best I can....or just keep my distance....better to stay down wind aswell if you can.......Cheers Barry

Not sure about race Evenings at Reading I would go along and have a look and see if Photography would be possible.....sometimes theres lots of fencing and you can't get a clear view......Eastbourne isn't too bad....but your still going to have to consider the light you are going to shoot in aswell........go and have a look and see if its worth taking your camera gear along.......Cheers Barry

Thanks Andy,Susie and Pons.....yes they put some dirt down on the tracks these days and it does improve the racing and helps the riders 'race' rather than just follow each other.
It was a really enjoyable day down there at Eastbourne....some good light to work with and some of the riders like Eddie Kennett and Lewis Bridger were doing some 'showboating' so we got some good wheelie shots and some good action all round.......thanks for looking and commenting........Cheers Barry

Silly question, Eddie Kennett - did his father ride?

Lancer01
21-02-2008, 06:40
No not a silly question at all........Eddie is the son of Dave Kennett who used to race for Eastbourne Eagles.........Eddie has a big future in the sport and is a real young talented British rider..........There was also two other Kennett brothers racing in the 70's and early 80's Barney Kennett who raced for the canterbury Crusaders and Gordon Kennett who was one of Britain's World class riders......Cheers Barry

Good stuff Bazza on the button again mate don't know about the noise and then the dirt mind all over that expensive camera gear but all action stuff expertly captured.

Thaks Bill...yes got a good covering of dirt over me and my gear shooting the speedway...the track got really 'slick' and dusty towards the end.....but Eddie and Lewis gave us some great action to shoot.......I'll be going back for some more for sure......Cheers Bazza
