Description says it has fungus. Thought it was a bad idea to have a fungus lens amongst your good ones.
I've considered a lens listed as with fungus before - they still seemed to go for too much money at the end. more so if there is a risk to your good stuff.

No time to phone Sigma and ask the repair price before the auction ends.

Its not worth buying simply because it has Canon not Nikon fit. ;)

i'm not saying to put it in with your kit, i'm asking if the low purchase value would be worth sending it off for a clean/repair, as a new one would cost £288 ish ,

even if a clean costed 50 or 60 quid , would it be worth it ?

this lens will go up in price, but i dont think by much, its a bad advert, bad picture, bad description in that the lens has its problems, he has also listed it in US dollars , these things will hold it back ?

Or should we be really childish and upset more people by saying it’s nothing to do with the type of mount at all and more likely to be because it is a Sigma :finger1:

Some people are trying to test the patience of others. It has been noticed. :hand:

I thought the ;) after any comment shows it's in gest.....maybe I'm just thick skinned...can't see nowt wrong with posts. Seemed to have seen quite a few posts about Canon's bettering Nikons elsewhere with no adverse comments. It's not going to go away you know ;)

OK.... I don't see anything here to be getting upset about so here's a quick vote for deep breaths all round. :D

I'd go for it if I used a Canon - I know you can get lenses re-coated, so they must clean them out at the same time.
