I haven't either, fantastic bird-Excellent captures too:thumbs:
Even better than your last shots, ( bigger huff now Grrrrrrrrrrr):clap::)
Beautiful bird ... Ive never seen one either!
In the first couple, the birds plumage looks strangly softened.
Last is my fave, has a nice natural feel to it.
Thanks for the replies. Glo, thanks for pointing out the plumage softening. I have just had a look at the originals and all I have done is to increase the exposure and sharpen all of them by roughly the same amounts.
Hmmm! how odd!
Perhaps they are similar to Goldfinches in the way that their plumage can often appear overly smoothed.
Gorgeous birds... where d'you take them?
Thanks Glo. The only thing I can think of is due to how the plumage adjusts to the different positions how the bird stands, in the last one it is bent forwards the others are with it standing upright. I took these shots of this single bird (Usually they are in flocks) on a housing estate in Derby, it's been there about 3 weeks.
