Not sure if one of the bracket fungi or not, could be clearer but white not easy, growing on moss covered log on ground.

I have checked my book But without some more details it could be several things. Did it have gills underneath?
How wide was it & did it have a stem?

Hi Charlie, it was approx 6inches wide by about3/4ins across on a central stem, never looked below at gills just felt it, just didn't bother, wish I had now but thought it would be easily identified from books, it was on a central stem so that to me rules out a bracket type but then again maybe not, taken at Morton's close to Scots but Beech also close by, log very overground and again never perused. Hope that helps as would like to know, so good hunting.
